About the Journal

The Dominican University Journal of Humanities (DUJOH) is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed publication of the Faculty of Humanities, Management and Social Sciences, Dominican University, Ibadan.

The journal provides a platform for academics and researchers in the humanities to present their latest findings to a wider academic audience. DUJOH accepts well-researched, original scholarly papers for consideration in its two annual editions, published in June and December.

 


 

Author's Guide

  1.  Manuscript Preparation
  • Manuscripts should follow the Chicago Manual of Style (17th edition).
  • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, with double-line spacing throughout.
  • Manuscripts, including the bibliography, should not exceed 7,000 words.
  1.  Title Page and Abstract
  • A separate title page should be included, containing the following details:
    • Author's full name
    • Institutional affiliation
    • Functional e-mail address
    • Telephone number(s)
    • Postal address/postcode
  • An abstract of no more than 250 words must accompany the manuscript.
  1.  Research Ethics
  • Submissions must conform to ethical research standards.
  • Authors must avoid all forms of plagiarism.
  • All works consulted must be properly acknowledged and referenced.
  1.  Originality of Submission
  • Manuscripts submitted to DUJOH must not be under consideration for publication in any other journal or book, either within or outside Nigeria.
  1.  Submission Procedure
  • Manuscripts should be submitted as an MS Word document attachment by e-mail to: dujoh@dui.edu.ng.

 

Review Process

  • All manuscripts will undergo blind peer review.
  • Papers deemed publishable, with or without corrections, will be returned to the author(s) with reviewers' comments within one month of submission.
  • Authors are expected to revise and resubmit where required.

 

Publication Deadlines

  • For the June edition, manuscripts must be submitted no later than 31 March.
  • For the December edition, manuscripts must be submitted no later than 30 September.
  • Only manuscripts received by the stated deadlines will be considered for publication.
